Kungpau chicken was downright delicious, however we were disappointed in the prawns and the chicken fried rice was surprisingly under cooked and we could not eat it. Definitely not up to your usual standards (We've been coming there for over 15 years).

We ordered Burnaby Palace take out last night and it was very good. It's one of our usual restaurants for take out and happy to see that they have kept up with their standards despite since Covid, their serving portions haven't shrunk like most places. Their prices have gone up a little as expected with the cost of inflation, just like everything else lately but their food and service remain excellent. I ordered the Ma Po Tofu for the first time and was pleased to see that the tofu was done just right, without being all smashed up but still intact in good sized chunks and the spicyness wasn't overbearing. My favorite dish is the fried Chicken Wings which I got free from spending over $50 before tax. The wings are lightly breaded with a tender crispness and the chicken is still soft inside; better than any other fried chicken I have had elsewhere. The Fried Fish with Cream Corn sauce is my husband's favorite dish. He loves how the fish is lightly battered and the cream corn sauce is served on the side. When poured over the fish, it makes an excellent combination over rice. The cream corn sauce is done just right, not too thick or too runny. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and have left overs for a few days to enjoy. Thank you Burnaby Palace for being our neighborhood go-to restaurant we rely on. We so appreciate you being open during Covid and made it bearable during quarantine when it first happened in March 2020. I am sure there are others who would agree what a great service that was.
